The Comet 140 was the first broom released by the Comet Trading Company. It was released in 1929, and soon became the choice of brooms for many Irish and British international Quidditch teams. It was the first broomstick to be enchanted with the Horton-Keith Braking Charm,[2] which prevented players from straying across the field.

EtymologyEdit

The final product happened to be the 140th prototype, which is where it got it's name.
