AboutEdit

The Firebolt is a world-class broomstick used in Quidditch. It was the fastest at the time of its release, which was in 1993. At the time, it was used in the Bulgarian-Irish Quidditch World Cup.[2]

DescriptionEdit

The Firebolt appears to be much like the Nimbus 2000. It is a rather long tree branch, which a paintbrush-like end. There are metal footrests, where (obviously) the pilot places their feet.

HistoryEdit

The Firebolt was first developed by Randolph Spudmore in 1993. It was quite popular, even while it was still being displayed in windows of stores. Harry Potter first saw a prototype in the window of Quality Quidditch Supplies. He wanted one, but he already had an expensive[3] Nimbus 2000. The Firebolt was later purchased by popular Quidditch teams, and was used in the 1994 Quidditch World Cup.
