AboutEdit

The Hogwarts Quidditch pitch was a field where the four house teams of Hogwarts could practice and play Quidditch. They also held tryouts there. Each year, there were six Quidditch matches.

HistoryEdit

1994-1995Edit

In the 1994-1995 school year, when the Triwizard Tournament was being held at Hogwarts,[1] large bushes were grown inside the pitch in order to form a maze for the Champions to go through. Cedric Diggory's death was caused by the completion of this maze; the Triwizard Cup was a Portkey.

1998Edit

During the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, the Quidditch pitch was burned down by Scabior and other Snatchers.[2] Many Giants used the hoops as weapons.[3]

Hundreds of seats were raised in stands around the pitch so the spectators were high enough to see what was going on. At either end of the pitch were golden poles with hoops on the end.
